There are, indeed, hundreds of methods of Hajrait (oracle divination). Before perfecting a Hajrait, keep a few important things in mind. It is a complete branch of knowledge in itself, through which the answer to any hidden question can easily be known. This can be performed not only within Sulemani practice but within Hindu sadhana as well. Anyone can perfect it. When revealing the answer to a question, keep two things in mind. Through this, you can learn what a stolen item is or where it is, but do not reveal who stole it — you will come to know who did it, but if you name that person, they will become your enemy. So do not ask questions about theft. Secondly, be cautious with similar kinds of questions. This lesson was given to me by the revered Akhandanand ji — never reveal matters of theft or secret affairs. Once, he revealed where a stolen item was; the thieves were caught, but in time, they came for him, sealed him in a sack, and took him to throw into a river. By Sadguru's special grace, he survived. Well, that is a separate story. Here I am sharing a very simple sadhana. It can be performed on any Thursday or Friday. It is a self-accomplished sadhana. You can seat any 10-12 year old child and perform the Hajrait. The room where you are performing the Hajrait should be clean and tidy, and you should sprinkle a little perfume there to create a fragrant atmosphere. Burn loban (frankincense) incense, dress the child in clean clothes, light an incense stick, and perform the practice with the child seated.

First, perfect this practice yourself using this method. Take a small bottle of oil. Recite the mantra over it 101 times, and while reciting the mantra, also add a little loban onto a fire or a burning cow-dung cake.

Perform this practice on a Thursday. Turn a cow-dung cake into embers, add a little loban incense to it bit by bit, chant the mantra 101 times, and keep yellow-coloured prasad nearby, to be distributed among children once the practice is complete. Now perform the Hajrait. Seat a child dressed in clean clothes, take some of the empowered oil and apply it to the child's nail, recite the mantra 7 times, place your hand on their head, then remove it. Then ask them to look into the oiled thumb, and perform the Hajrait using the following method. On a small piece of paper, write three times in black ink, or using a black pen.

1. Fold this and place it beneath the child's nail.

2. Have the child repeat aloud whatever you say.

3. First — "Jibrael ji, salaam (greetings)."

4. "Jibrael ji, call the water-bearer; let the water-bearer sprinkle water."

5. "Jibrael ji, send the water-bearer away; now call the carpet-bearer; let the carpet-bearer lay down the carpet."

6. "Jibrael ji, send the carpet-bearer away; now set up the Peer ji's chair."

7. "Peer ji, come and sit upon the chair. Peer ji, salaam."

8. Whoever you summon, the child will see them all, and as you ask, they will tell you. Once Peer ji is seated, ask your question.

9. "Peer ji, I have a question — if you will answer it, raise your hand."

When Peer ji raises a hand as a sign, present your question in this way — for instance, if asking about someone, give their name, address, and so on ("Peer ji, this person, named so-and-so, living in such-and-such city — what is happening in their home," or say, "Jibrael ji, bring this person here, and bring their home too").

Then ask, "Peer ji, look at this person — what has happened to them? If someone has cast a spell on them, raise one finger; if it is an illness, raise two fingers; if it is "laag-lapet" (a tantric entanglement, where someone has been caught by a tantric object while walking, or had a spell cast across their path), raise three fingers; if it is the wrath of a deity, raise a hand."

Now, according to whatever signal is given, ask further questions and inquire what should be done to resolve it. If it is the wrath of a deity, summon that deity, saying, "Jibrael ji, bring this deity here," then say, "Jibrael ji, give this deity a chair, seat them upon it." Then bow to the deity and ask what mistake this person has made — the deity will reveal it, and the child will tell you. They will show whatever is needed. Tell the person to do accordingly. If it is an ancestor (pitra), an elderly figure dressed in white will appear, or you can guess from whatever the child describes, and they will show whatever is requested. If they require food, that too will be told or shown. In this way, the answer to every question can be obtained. Never ask for a lottery number or gambling number, or the Hajrait will stop working. Use this for the public good. In this way, the answer to every question can be obtained.
