समर्पण –10– औघड़ साधना का एक रूप Samarpan - 10: A Form of Aughad Sadhana

For several days, the Aughad had been keeping watch over the cremation ground. Today, after a long wait, he finally had the chance to perform the accomplishment he desired, and he did not want to let it slip away. Some people had brought a dead child and buried it in that cremation ground. Dense forest surrounded the area on all sides, and now the Aughad was alone there — but performing this ritual alone was beyond his ability, so after some thought, he came to me, because he needed an experienced seeker who had already gone through the practice of cremation-ground sadhana. "Today, after a long time, I have the chance to perform this accomplishment, so if I miss it today, who knows when I'll get another chance — perhaps not for many years. You are a fellow seeker, please help me," he said. I looked into the Aughad's eyes — there was a plea in them. I agreed, and we gathered the materials necessary for the ritual — 20 litres of milk, a large vessel, a can of water, and the necessary worship materials — and set out toward the cremation ground at around 1 AM.

There was a particular urgency in the Aughad's steps. We reached the cremation ground, and the Aughad took water and recited a special mantra, sprinkling the water in all four directions. After that, he dug up the grave and brought out the child, first bathing him with water, then seating him in the large vessel and performing an abhishek (ritual bathing) with milk, then bathing him again, taking out clothes from his bag and dressing him, laying him down to one side, and scattering something resembling mustard seeds over him while reciting certain mantras. He then lit a lamp and began reciting some special mantras, and blew into the child's ear — at which the child immediately sat up. The Aughad gave him initiation (diksha), performed his naming ceremony, gave him a name, then gave him the Guru mantra into his ear, and blessing him, said, "From today you are my child — whenever I call you, you must come and follow my command." He then spoke a few more mantras, blessed him, and looked into his eyes — and a little while later, the boy fell unconscious. The Aughad then buried him back in the grave. The entire process took about 2 hours. We poured the milk back into the can, gathered the vessel and other items, and returned.

The next day, I set the milk to turn into curd, and once it had set, I churned it to extract butter, which I then heated to make ghee, and stored it in a container. The Aughad then mixed in more ghee and gave some of it to me, saying, "As soon as a lamp is lit with this, that boy will appear, and he will do whatever he is told — he will even fetch any object needed at that very moment, and as he grows older, his power will grow too." That night, the Aughad lit a lamp, and right before our eyes, the boy appeared and sat down before us. Since he was still young and innocent, the Aughad gave him no command that day — the right time for his training would have to wait. After that, he left, and I kept the ghee carefully, mixing in more as needed.

About 15 years passed. One day, Murtinath, a great soul (mahatma) of the Nath tradition, came to visit. He arrived quite late at night. Murtinath is knowledgeable in alchemical practice (rasayan kriya) and would visit me from time to time. That night, I asked for tea to be made, but it turned out there was no sugar. He had three other Naths with him. "Oh no, what will they think now," I thought, so after considering for a moment, I took out the ghee and lit a lamp with it. Murtinath and his companions were watching, and at that very moment, the boy — now grown into a young man — stepped forward and asked for instructions. I asked him to bring sugar, and he vanished instantly. Within just 15 minutes, half a sack of sugar came flying through the air and settled gently on the ground before us, as though someone had placed it there. The boy then appeared again and said, "Baba ji, here is the sugar." I told him he could go, and he left. The tea was made, and Murtinath said, "Baba ji, such things are not meant for householders like you — give it to me instead," and I picked up that ghee and gave it to the Nath, who had never once refused me anything either. In knowledge and love, only surrender is given. Many years have passed since then. Murtinath built a temple of Kaal Bhairav somewhere near Mumbai, and I met him again after 5 years, and he told me that even today, that entity continues to serve him like an obedient child.
