श्री बटुक भैरव जी दुर्गा जी के पुत्र कहे जाते हैं! बटुक भैरव जी साधक की हर साधना में रक्षा करते हैं और इस आज के भयमय वातावरण में भी साधक के साथ साये की तरह रहते हुए उसे पूर्ण सुरक्षा देते हैं! इस लिए यह आज के युग में भय मुक्त जीवन के लिए आवश्यक साधना है! भैरव जी दरिद्रता विनाशक हैं! अतः साधक की दरिद्रता को दूर करते हुए उसे पूर्ण वैभवयुक्त जीवन प्रदान करते हैं! वहीँ उसे अन्य रोगों से भी बचाते हैं! इसलिए इस साधना से सभी साधकों को लाभ उठाना चाहिए!
विधि
इस साधना को किसी भी मंगलवार या मंगलवार को पड़ने वाली अष्टमी को करना बेहतर है! इसके लिए पहले से श्री बटुक भैरव यंत्र व मूँगे की या हकीक की माला गुरुधाम से मँगवा लें! हकीक माला काले हकीक की ले सकते हैं और साधक को लाल वस्त्र या काले वस्त्र धारण कर दक्षिण दिशा की ओर मुख कर बैठना है! सामने श्री बटुक भैरव जी का चित्र फ्रेम कराकर रख लें! एक बाजोट पर लाल रंग का वस्त्र बिछा कर चित्र के सामने ही एक प्लेट में स्वास्तिक बनाकर श्री बटुक भैरव यंत्र की स्थापना करें और गुरु चित्र भी पास में रखें! पहले गुरु पूजन कर आज्ञा लें और संकल्प करें कि "मैं अपने मन के भय से मुक्ति पाते हुए पूर्ण समृद्धि, पूर्ण जीवन प्राप्ति के लिए यह साधना करना चाहता हूँ! हे सद्गुरुदेव मुझे साधना में पूर्णता दें!" और यंत्र का पूजन सिंदूर, लाल फूल से करें! पंचोपचार पूजन कर सकते हैं! भोग के लिए लड्डू समर्पित करें! यंत्र के पास ही थोड़े उड़द की ढेरी लगाकर उसके ऊपर तेल का दिया लगा दें! दिये का भी पूजन करें और फिर गुरु मंत्र का दो माला जप करें और निम्न श्री बटुक भैरव जी के मूल मंत्र का 11 माला जाप करें! ऐसा 21 दिन करें, इससे भैरव जी प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन या बिम्बात्मक दर्शन देंगे! हर मंगलवार को भोग किसी कुत्ते को खिला दें और नया भोग रख दें।

इस तरह इस मूल मंत्र के जप के बाद श्री बटुक भैरव अपराध क्षमापन स्तोत्र का पाठ करें! कोई भी भैरव साधना या दुर्गा सप्तशती के पाठ के बाद यदि क्षमापन स्तोत्र का पाठ कर लिया जाए तो सिद्धि का फल अवश्य मिलता है।
इस साधना को शाम 7 से 10 बजे के बीच कभी भी कर सकते हैं!!
Shri Batuk Bhairav Ji is said to be the son of Goddess Durga. Lord Batuk Bhairav protects the seeker in every sadhna and gives complete protection in this dreadful era, like a shadow. Hence this sadhna is essential to get rid of fears. Lord Bhairav is also a diminisher of poverty, and so he bestows prosperity upon the seeker by removing poverty. On the other hand, he protects the seeker from all diseases — so every seeker should take the benefit of this sadhna.
Procedure
Any Tuesday, or any Ashtami falling on a Tuesday, is the best day for this sadhna. For this, order the Batuk Bhairav yantra and a rosary of either hakik or coral from the Gurudham in advance. A black hakik mala may be used, and the seeker may wear red or black clothes and should sit facing south. Place a framed picture of Lord Batuk Bhairav on a wooden table (bajot) in front of you. Lay a red cloth on that bajot in front of the picture of Batuk Bhairav, place a plate on it, draw a swastika sign on that plate, and establish the Batuk Bhairav yantra upon that swastika sign. Place a Guru picture nearby as well, and perform the Guru worship first and ask permission from Guruji before starting the sadhna. Take the pledge: "I am performing this sadhna to be freed from the fears of my mind and to attain a prosperous, complete life. O Sadgurudev, grant me completeness in this sadhna." Worship the yantra with vermillion and red flowers — the five-fold worship (panchopachar) may also be performed. Offer laddus as the bhog. Light a sesame oil lamp over a small heap of black gram (urad) placed near the yantra, and worship the lamp as well. Then chant 2 rounds of the Guru mantra, followed by 11 rounds of the root mantra of Batuk Bhairav Ji given below. Do this for 21 days — through this, a direct or symbolic vision (darshan) of Lord Batuk Bhairav may be obtained. Feed the bhog to a dog every Tuesday and place a fresh offering.

After this chanting of the root mantra, recite the Shri Batuk Bhairav Apradh Kshamapan Stotra. If this Kshamapan Stotra is recited after any Bhairav sadhna or after a recitation of the Durga Saptashati, the fruits of accomplishment are certainly attained.
This sadhna can be performed any time between 7 and 10 pm in the evening!!
